Rifle Greeting Cards for $1.91

Have you noticed the prices of cards and wrapping paper going up? You can easily spend $6 on a card and $7 on a gift bag and already you have spent $13 on… not the gift! With this hack, you can spend more money in the actual gift and never have to dash to the store to find a last minute card!

Having my own little store of greeting cards to ‘shop’ from when I am in need has been a total lifesaver. I purchase greeting cards I love as I find them, particularly if they are on sale.

Most Rifle Paper Co. cards cost between $5-$6 in stores, but my biggest TracisTip is to purchase their 8 packs (especially during a sale, like Labor Day or Black Friday), as you can get them for around $2 each! I have found that getting an 8 pack of birthday and blank floral notes is a great place to start (then you can add wedding, baby, congrats, sympathy).

I also love that it saves $$$ so I can spend more on their actual gift and not so much on the card and wrapping paper!

I changed the tabs on the Rifle Paper Co. recipe box to different life events to organize my cards by need. I have Birthday, Baby, Wedding, Anniversary, Get Well, New Home, Sympathy, Congrats.

This James Joyce sympathy card from Compendium is a personal favorite. It reads; “‘They lived and loved and laughed and left’… and the world will never be the same. Deepest sympathy.’”

One of my favorite Rifle Paper Co. cards is their ‘Wishing you Comfort,’ because you can use it for a great number of situations (illness, death, illness in the family, etc.). It doesn’t come in an 8 pack though.

I have a second recipe box filled with thank you notes (I prefer the smaller size). I hope this hack helps you to never scramble to the store and overpay for a greeting card again!!
