IN SHORT: I order the moisturizer ($44) and face cleanser ($24) and am VERY happy with both. I chose the thick moisturizer for a Creme de La Mer feel and order UNSCENTED. I use both only at night. In the morning I apply Supergroup Unseen Sunscreen, so my products end up lasting me 3-4 months. I ‘Subscribe and Save’ and have it on a 3 month subscription. There is not a warning before it processes your subscription refill, so I recommend setting a calendar alarm on your phone so you can go in to “Review and Refine” or snooze before your next order. IN LONG: One of the perks of summer camp for me has always been showering in the cabin and getting to raid all of my girlfriend’s products. I have always been into expensive samples from Sephora or department stores and jumped on the Beauty Box Bandwagon for many years (Birchbox, IPSY, etc.)
My inclination to want to try a variety of expensive skin care products continued well into my adulthood but at this point, I just want something that works that I can use as a system without having to think. I don’t want all these random samples and products filling up my drawers.
Do I know my skin type? Nope.
I know how important sunscreen is for skin preservation and anti aging but beyond that… beats me.
I have had SUCH an amazing experience with Prose hair products (3 years and counting, I’ll never go back and it changed my greasy hair 4 LIFE). I was thrilled to see they were coming out with custom skincare. Just like the haircare, you fill out a detailed (and dare I say, fun!) survey so they customize the products to YOUR skin.
I tried the first round of serum, cleanser and moisturizer. They recommended against fragrance because I have sensitive skin, but I couldn’t help myself. My skin did NOT like the serum but they quickly offered to remake or refund and I filled out some online feedback forms.
I am convinced I’m actually allergic to lavender. After using lavender lotion for so many years I developed an allergy. Either way, I stopped using the serum and have reordered the cleanser and moisturizer.

I have now just been using the UNSCENTED cleanser and moisturizer (I love the thick creamy formula) for four months and feel my skin is more even, luminous, and moisturized to perfection. One order lasts me 3 months or so.
My one negative feedback is that when you have a subscription to save $$$, they do not warn you when they are processing your order so you have to set a reminder to make sure you actually need a refill and don’t want to change anything about the products. Other than that, LOVE IT.
I do wish they would develop a sunscreen and I would like to start using retinol… so I’m hopeful for the future!
