Trader Joe's Pom Garland
I’d love to connect with you on Instagram, where I share home, health and lifestyle tips!
I was so excited when PoppieLady, Desiree, sent me a photo of the $8.99 felt garlands at Trader Joes. I rushed on my lunch the same day to get one, but they had already sold out! I called a second location and thankfully they agreed to put two to the side to me. The Trader Joe’s felt garland has 140 large poms on it for $8.99.
If you don’t feel like using it as a traditional garland, there are tons more uses!
If you simply cut the string, you will have 140 pom balls. One of my IG gals, Jess, is the queen of the sensory table and she puts them in the mix with small bowls for her kids to play with in her Ikea Flisat sensory table (we have this too and the table is awesome!).
I also took a few poms and simply placed them on our tree! Cohen sometimes like to take them off and on, which is totally fine with me so I can have an uninterrupted 3 minutes to apply makeup.
I found this ADORABLE wrapping paper at Anthropologie, but couldn’t bring myself to pay $18 for 3 small sheets.
I decided to make my own Anthro dupe wrapping paper with the garland poms! You can easily wrap 8-10 medium-sized gifts with one garland. Also, check out this amazing eco-friendly wrapping solution: the striped wrapping paper is from Papersource and made from ROCKS!
The brown Kraft paper is from Amazon and is $19.09 for 100 feet. It is the perfect weight and not too thick (like other butcher paper). Here is the Link for Brown Kraft paper
The large poms are fun and colorful, but I did also want to make a more accurate dupe with smaller poms and I loved that I could pick my own colors! BenzieDesign had plenty to choose from! The smaller poms did cost a lot more than the large garland poms, but (again) they are a more accurate size and you can pick your own colors.
Please tag me with all your Trader Joes pom garland crafts and uses!! I would love to see them in your homes!
XOXO,
TLC
