Dutch Oven Cleaning Secret

I’d love to connect with you on Instagram, where I share home, health and lifestyle tips!

Our Dutch oven was the only pot we owned for awhile right after we got married. You can literally use it for anything and it’s one of my favorite decorative pieces in the kitchen. Le Creuset has an amazing warranty and will replace your product if it starts to have any issues (they replaced ours when it started to get a few little cracks in the lid).

When you have a dutch oven, sometimes certain items will cause it to get burnt at the bottom. When this happens, it’s super hard to get clean…unless you use the sugar trick!

Pour white granulated sugar generously at the bottom of your pot. Wet a sponge and start scrubbing! You will be amazed at how easily that stubborn black stuff comes off! Then I usually use a bit of dish soap so that there isn’t any sugar left on the pot.
