Are Millie Moon Luxury Diapers as nice as Honest Co. or Hello Bello?

I came across a new diaper at Target called ‘Millie Moon’ and was intrigued. The design feels very Swedish-chic and I have to admit I love the name because we have a weiner dog named Millie. I bought a box of our usual size 5 and decided to do one of my classic Unsponsored Reviews for parents!
The short of it:
The diapers are SUPER soft, but strangely large. I bought size 5, which is generally a little bit large on my one year old in Honest and Hello Bello, but these were VERY large. The box reads “high waisted” and boy, do they mean it. I would recommend reading the box and purchase according to your little one’s weight, NOT the diaper size you buy from other brands.
The Brass Tax:
They are 7 cents more than Hello Bello per diaper and 4 cents less than Honest Co. per diaper (size 5).
HELLO BELLO: $0.32 per diaper
MILLIEMOON: $0.39 per diaper
HONEST CO.: $0.43 per diaper

THE LONG OF IT:
When I shared on Instagram I would be reviewing them, I got a comment “But WHYYYYY?! Who needs luxury diapers?!” I responded (in short) that I have found if a company is mindful about branding and quality, they are usually more mindful about environmental impact, and as we all can imagine, diapers create a LOT of waste.
I also (personally) think that if I was a baby and went to the bathroom in my pants, I would like having something soft and fluffy versus something that feels like cardboard in my pants but… to to each their own.
I like that you can find them at Target. I am still finding myself brand loyal to the NEW Honest designs because they feel super soft and sturdy to me and I love their designs. If I go to WalMart, I like to stock up on Hello Bello because they are much less expensive, also cute and super soft. I also love Hello Bello’s pull-Ups and overnight diapers for my toddler.
In general, a great tips for buying diapers (especially if you have blowouts or your baby has rashes) is to SIZE UP (but NOT needed for this brand).
MILLIE MOON WIPES? PASS
I also tried their wipes. They feel nice, but in general after working with dermatology and immunology, it’s best to AVOID allergens through the skin. The sensitive wipes contain “ extracts of Aloe, Avocado and Marigold.” To read more information about how to help your baby have a healthy immune system, you can read my interview with Dr Nadeau BY CLICKING HERE.
I discovered that Zuru LLC owns MyMillieMoon and guess what else they make?! BUNCH O BALLOONS!!! Our absolute favorite! “Zuru, founded in 2003, specializes in making inexpensive toys, like Bunch O Balloons, a gadget that fills 100 water balloons in 60 seconds.” The Mowbray siblings from New Zealand are expanding their toy company to include diapers and household goods (Click that link above to read more about the sibling owners… I found it interesting).
ADDITIONAL INFO:
The box states they are made from: Sustainably sourced wood pulp, and are Allergy Certified, Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Original Dermatest, as well as fragrance free, lotion free, latex free, chlorine free.
OVERALL:
Diapers are soft, competitively priced, and run very big. I still like Honest and Hello Bello better, but I like trying new diapers! You may love them. I recommend passing on the wipes.
